The last weekend in girls prep hockey had plenty to keep track of.
The usual suspects near the upper echelon of contenders picked up some blowout wins, be it Williston Northampton, Dexter Southfield, Loomis Chaffee and Nobles, among others.
Meanwhile, Berkshire, Choate, Tilton and Westminster had good weekends as they look to build momentum. Elsewhere, Deerfield and Phillips Exeter battled to a tight draw, while Tabor knocked off New Hampton in overtime.
Let's dive into the top performers in girls prep hockey from Jan. 16-21.
Echavarria posted a .978 save percentage in two games for Berkshire, giving up just one goal. The senior posted a 26-save shutout, proving the difference in a 1-0 win over Hill School last Saturday. She followed it up with 19 saves in a 2-1 win over Millbrook on Monday.
Ella Souza
Berwick, 09/2007, D, left shot, 5-5
Hometown: Portsmouth, NH NCAA: New Hampshire
Souza led the way in Berwick's 6-2 win over Hebron last Friday. The senior blue-liner potted a pair of goals.
Maggie Swanson
Choate, 12/13/2006, F, right shot, 5-3
Hometown: Fairfield, Conn.

Swanson had a goal in each of Choate's wins last weekend. She scored in a 3-2 win over Hill School on Friday, and she added another in a 3-0 shutout of Taft on Saturday.
Cushing, 2009, F, right shot Hometown: Everett, Mass.
Freitas is back in the weekly highlights after taking over the NEPSAC lead in scoring with five points across two games. She had four points with two goals and two assists against Hoosac, powering the Penguins to a 9-3 win. She followed it up with another assist in a 4-0 win over St. Mark's.
Krotee was key in Deerfield's 2-2 draw with Phillips Exeter last Saturday. The senior helped force overtime as she put up a 35-save performance.
Mackenzie Sutherland
Dexter Southfield, 01/2008, D, left shot, 5-3
Hometown: West Roxbury, Mass.
Sutherland powered the Shields' 5-0 triumph over Governor's last Friday with two goals, bringing her total to five from the blue line this season and further extending a new career-high.
Megan Hosman
Loomis Chaffee, 01/2008, D, right shot, 5-9
Hometown: Ann Arbor, Mich.
NCAA: Penn State
Hosman reached a new career-high for points in Loomis' 7-1 win over Hotchkiss. With three assists, she eclipsed her previous best in points (12), which she set last season.
Schwarz led the way in the Pelicans' win over Hotchkiss with a four-point game. The junior scored a goal and chipped in three assists, bringing her to 17 assists and 20 points on the season and shattering her previous bests of five assists and 14 points.
New Hampton, 5/25/2006, F, right shot, 5-9 Hometown: Middleton, Mass. NCAA: Yale
Walker had three points in two games for New Hampton. She had two assists in a 3-2 overtime loss to Tabor on Saturday, factoring in on both of True Thompson's tallies. On Monday, she came through with a goal in a 2-0 win over Holderness.
Brown was among several Bulldogs with multi-point efforts in a 9-0 win over Mount Saint Charles last Friday. Brown had four points, scoring twice and adding two helpers.
Bell was strong in Exeter's 2-2 tie with Deerfield last Saturday. The senior made 37 saves and helped force overtime.
Sydney Kelm
Pomfret, Class of 2028, G, catches left
Hometown: Erie, Colo.
Kelm posted a .950 save percentage in two starts over the weekend, helping Pomfret reach overtime in back-to-back games. She made 24 saves in a 1-1 draw with Kents Hill before following it up with a 33-save outing in a 2-1 loss to North Yarmouth Academy on Sunday.
McGathey was one of several Tigers with multi-point days in Thayer's 7-1 win over Pingree last Friday. She scored a goal and added three assists.
Abby DeAnzeris
Thayer, 3/1/2007, D, right shot, 5-4
Hometown: Needham, Mass.
DeAnzeris was one of the aforementioned Tigers with multiple points in the high-scoring win over Pingree. The blue-liner came through with three points, chipping in a goal and two assists. It made for points in five of her previous six games with nine points (two goals) in that span.
Grace Collins
Tilton, 2/27/2008, F, left shot, 5-5
Hometown: Billerica, Mass.
Collins had four assists across two wins for Tilton last weekend. She assisted both goals in a 2-1 win over Kimball Union on Friday before adding two more helpers in a 5-2 triumph over Brewster on Saturday.
Katherine Flippo
Tilton, Class of 2025, F, left shot, 5-6
Hometown: Medfield, Mass.
Flippo had a three-point game in the Ram's win over Brewster on Saturday. She scored a goal and added two assists, matching her career high for goals (five) and setting new bests in assists (seven) and points (12).
Another week, another well-deserved mention for Lacey, who was busy in the crease in both of Tilton's wins. She turned aside 39 shots in the 2-1 win over KUA, and she followed it up with 43 saves in the 5-2 win over Brewster.
Westminster, 3/6/3008, F, left shot, 5-9
Hometown: West Springfield, Mass.
Polastry played a big hand in the Martlets' 5-0 win over Northfield Mount Hermon last Saturday, leading the way with a goal and two assists for a three-point outing.
Brooke Schlutter
Williston Northampton, 04/2009, F, right sho, 5-5 Hometown: Ladera Beach, Calif.Â
Schlutter's big sophomore season continued in Williston's 8-0 win over Frederick Gunn last Saturday. She led the Wildcats with a hat trick, improving to nine goals in 13 games this season.
