To no one's surprise, the Mount St. Charles 15O star forward went first overall in Friday's QMJHL Draft to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
The 5-foot-10, 152-pound forward was dominant for Mount St. Charles this winter, potting 55 goals and tallying 134 points in 62 games.
Boisvert is known for his dominant play down the middle, as he is a great skater who can make plays at high speeds. He has silky hands and high-end skill, which allows him to dangle defenders and get to high-danger ice.

He also has a high compete, allowing him to outmuscle bigger defenders. That should serve him well in the QMJHL.
From Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Boisvert was long thought to be a top pick in the QMJHL Draft, so much so that he wasn't taken until the 14th round of the USHL Phase 1 Draft.
It's still extremely early, but already, Boisvert is one of the top '10s in North America.
