Jayson Dobay has committed to play college hockey at Utica College, he announced Thursday afternoon. Dobay, a ’99 from Weymouth, Mass., played the past two seasons for the Youngstown Phantoms in the USHL. In 106 games in Youngstown, Dobay potted eight goals and added 32 assists.
The Thayer Academy and BC High product is an offensive defenseman who shoots the puck extremely well. Dobay was previously committed to UMass. Several top Division 3 programs in New England were also very interested in landing Dobay.
AIC lands Dubuque winger
American International received a commitment from Dubuque Fighting Saints right wing Reggie Millette.
Millette played 48 games in the USHL this past season, scoring three goals and adding six assists. The ’00 from Jacksonville, Fla., played the previous two seasons with the Austin Bruins in the NAHL.
Millette, a Victory Honda product, is another nice addition out of the USHL for the Yellow Jackets. Eric Lang and his staff have done a terrific job in getting some hidden gems out of the USHL and NAHL who are impact players in Atlantic Hockey.
