The New England District camp takes place this weekend with 201 players across the 2007 and 2008 birth years competing for spots at USA Hockey Select Camps.
There are 99 players in the 2007 group, which will battle to make a team that heads to Buffalo, N.Y., June 25-July 1.
Below are some intriguing, uncommitted prospects among the '07s. That's not to say they're the only interesting prospects.
One of the cool parts about this event is it gives scouts a chance to look at how certain players progressed through the winter, as well as viewings of new players who might just be hitting their stride.

Let's dive in. There will be a separate story on the '08s.
Tommy Coccaro
Team Black, 4/10/2007, F, right shot, 5-8/161Â
While Coccaro didn't make Select 16 Camp last year, he spent the fall standing out with Mid Fairfield and ended up ranking second on Westminster in points with 19. He's small, but his shiftiness allows him to take the puck to high-danger areas.
Oliver Czaja
Team Black, 9/19/2007, F, left shot, 5-10/175Â
Brunswick head coach Mike Kennedy stuck Czaja between leading scorers Sean Gibbons and Brendan Giles this winter, and it worked. He scored 10 goals and totaled 24 points while playing a strong, 200-foot game. He's long been a member of Mid Fairfield.
Hugo Daniel
Team Black, 8/18/2007, F, left shot, 6-2/201Â
Daniel is an interesting case. The last two seasons have been strong ones for him at North Yarmouth Academy. This past winter, the Yarmouth, Maine, native posted 26 goals and 44 points in 34 games and has been playing for the Maine Nordiques in the NAHL ever since. I'm curious to see how he looks against the best kids in his own age group from around the district.
Max Donatelli
Team Blue, 6/15/2007, F, left shot, 5-9/154Â
Like the first three names on this list, Donatelli also didn't make it to Select 16 Camp last season. But he spent the winter proving why that was a mistake. After a strong 16U fall with the Cape Cod Whalers, Donatelli exploded for 14 goals and 40 points with St. George's, who snagged the No. 7 seed in the Elite 8 Tournament. He has good skill and strong hockey sense, which make him so impactful.
Luke Dow
Team Blue, 1/2/2007, F, right shot, 5-8/150Â
Kent had some older players higher than Dow on the depth chart this winter. Still, the Orange, Conn., native tallied 10 goals and 23 points in 25 games. When I watched him with Mid Fairfield's 16U team in the fall, I always liked the craftiness in his game.
Jack Fichthorn
Team Gold, 5/10/2007, G, catches left, 5-11/170Â
The '07s are still very young goalies. Many '07s are still a few years away from hitting their stride. But the early signs on Fichthorn are good. He saw more time in the net with Westminster this past winter, earning a 2.93 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage as the backup. He also has played for Mid Fairfield over the past year.
Easton Gates
Team Red, 5/18/2007, D, left shot, 5-11/187Â
Gates had a strong first season at Northfield Mount Hermon this winter. The Bristol, Conn., native tallied eight goals and 19 points in 32 games, ranking fourth on the team. He showed growth in his game, especially with the Yale Jr. Bulldogs.
CHANGES AT A POWERHOUSE: Ryan Bourque takes over at Cushing
Ethan Goodrich
Team Red, 6/20/2007, F, left shot, 5-11/161Â
Goodrich, from North Hampton, N.H., is the lone MIAA player on this list. He centered St. John's Prep's second line and helped the Eagles win the D1 state championship. He's dynamic and a good skater, which helps him gain steps on opposing defenders. He was one of the better players on the 16U East Coast Militia in the fall.
Indiana Grossbard
Team Gold, 12/21/2007, F, right shot, 5-9/145Â
I'm not sure how Grossbard didn't make it to Select 16 Camp last season, but the Wilton, Conn., native was a force as a sophomore at Loomis Chaffee. He led the team in goals (15) and points (36). He just makes things happen...and how about that name.
Steven Luciano
Team Black, 3/1/2007, G, catches left, 5-11/175Â
Luciano made it to Select 16 Camp last season. He followed that up with a strong fall with Mid Fairfield and played well when called into action with Salisbury this winter. At USA Hockey Nationals earlier this month, he ranked third among all goalies in save percentage (.921) at the 16U level and projects to be head coach Andrew Will's go-to guy next winter.
Michael Mardula
Team Blue, 2/21/2007, F, right shot, 5-10/161Â
Mardula has long been one of the top players in his birth year from the New England district. He shined at Select 16 Camp last season, posting 11 points, which was tied for fourth in the whole camp. He made the move to Little Caesars 16U this winter, scoring 19 goals and totaling 44 points in 44 games.
Hunter Marshall
Team Green, 3/19/2007, G, catches left, 6-3/185Â
Marshall was also at Select 16 Camp last season and followed that up by getting a good amount of time in net this winter at Berwick, posting a 2.57 GAA and a .926 save percentage. Marshall's big advantage is his size, which makes him especially intriguing.
Parker Murch
Team Red, 5/22/2007, F, right shot, 6-0/161Â
Murch led all '07s in scoring this prep season with a whopping 61 points. With 31 goals, he flat-out dominated the Holt Conference. He was also a force with Top Gun 16U. While he didn't make Select 16 Camp last season, his size and offensive talent should help him make a very compelling case to make it to Buffalo this time around. Now is his chance to really stand out on the big stage.
James Odyniec
Team Black, 1/2/2007, D, right shot, 6-0/174Â
Odyniec had loads of seniors ahead of him on defense this winter at Avon Old Farms, but I really liked what I saw from him in the fall. He has a good stick and is responsible in his own end. At times, he shows good offensive instincts, too.
FUTURE OF CHOATE: Mike Pereira's vision to turn Choate into a prep hockey destination
William Rob
Team Black, 8/2/2007, D, left shot, 5-11/174Â
Rob stood out to me a bit more during his sophomore year (2022-23) than he did this past season as a junior. Still, Rob is great in transition and makes smart puck plays. A good performance at camp this weekend would do wonders for his stock.
Marco Senerchia
Team Black, 7/4/2007, D, left shot, 5-8/150Â
Senerchia has played on three different teams over the last three seasons. He seems to have found his home with St. George's after he broke out for 10 goals and 33 points in 28 games this winter. He's dynamic and a phenomenal puck-mover. He earned a spot at Select 16 Camp last season. The only thing against him is his size, which he seems to have no problem making up for.
